What’s the deal with work placements?

One of the (many) excellent things about a degree from Edinburgh Napier is the chance to get into industry when you are still studying. It’s a pretty nifty way for students to get work experience on their CV, but it also allows learning to be put into practice quickly.

Today on campus we had a networking sesh, where students could mingle with companies to work out the opportunities for work placements, most commonly in third year. There was a good turnout, and it hopefully gave the Business School students some food for thought on what they might want to do on their work placement, and which company would be a good match for them. EIC students have done placements through this scheme, with some great outcomes. There will be more on work placements on here, very soon.
